Hannah can help with any foot or lower limb mechanical pain that is linked to poor function of the way you walk or run. This includes a variety of back, hip, knee, shin, calf, ankle and foot problems

Accurate diagnosis is key to ensure an effective treatment can be put in place and some specific diagnoses that are routinely seen in clinic include:

Knee

  • Patellofemoral Syndrome
  • Patella Tendinopathy
  • IlIio-tibial band syndrome
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Osgood Schlatters disease (in children)

Leg

  • Medial Tibial stress syndrome (‘shin splints’)
  • Tibial stress fracture
  • Compartment syndrome
  • Calf strains
  • Functional entrapment syndromes – popliteal artery and superficial peroneal nerve

Ankle and Hindfoot

  • Achillies tendinopathy
  • Retrocalcaneal bursitis
  • Tibialis Posterior Tendinopathy
  • Flexor Hallucis and extensor hallucis longus tendinopathy
  • Tarsal Tunnel syndrome or functional neurpraxia to posterior tibial nerve
  • Anterior impingement Syndrome

Other

  • Foot drop – anatomical and neurogenic
  • Other neurological gait patterns
  • Leg length discrepancy with associated lower limb MSK problems
  • Severe foot deformity and pain following trauma

EXCLUSIONS

The following are podiatry conditions that would be excluded from MSK treatment and Hannah does NOT see in her clinics:

  • Corns and callus lesions
  • Nail cutting including ingrown toe nails
  • Other nail conditions
  • Verrucae

Hannah will assess to look for the cause of ongoing painful hard skin and corns and reduce how quickly it comes back.
